Those Great Damn Democrats - Special Edition

Last week at Coretta Scott King's funeral, Jimmy Carter (US President that almost completely wrecked the country and hence, the world) made a tongue-in-cheek reference to the wiretaps authorized by President Bush and his administration. There seems to be a little bit of lying, lowdown hypocrisy in Carter's inappropriate comments. Go figger.

An excerpt from Jay at Stop the ACLU:

But in 1977, Mr. Carter and his attorney general, Griffin B. Bell, authorized warrantless electronic surveillance used in the conviction of two men for spying on behalf of Vietnam.

The men, Truong Dinh Hung and Ronald Louis Humphrey, challenged their espionage convictions to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, which unanimously ruled that the warrantless searches did not violate the men’s rights.

Now, Jimmy, I am fully aware that you are a complete dumbass, but do you think that people knew that you were a lying piece-of-shit appeasement monkey? Intelligent people do.
