That Damn Paul Harvey!

Driving in to work this morning, I was listening to Paul Harvey's news. Seems that Ol' Paul reported that there is now a company that has produced a vaccine that prevents Avian Flu in laboratory animals.

Okay, so now I am to believe that the most dangerous infection ever known to man only took two years to cure? I distinctly remember an article in my local dog trainer that said that every single Mississippian would be dead in two years from this "Bird Flu".

If this Avian Flu was so easy to cure, why can't we cure HIV? And why can't I find any article at all on the entire Internets that tells me that Avian Flu has been cured in laboratory animals? Do the news people want me to continue to worry about something that is irrelevant?
