Wow, shocker there. From THIS story, the Washington Post makes it appear that our military personnel live to kill themselves. Nothing could be further from the truth. They just hate our military and want soldiers to seem as if they are NUTS.
Whenever I read such a story, I simply accept the writer's version of the numbers and collect other numbers to discredit the published material. The Post claims that 17.5 soldiers per 100,000 commit suicide. I accept their figure assuming they cannot publish something that is untrue. (Do understand that it IS untrue, the real figure is 17.3 per 100,000.)
The average suicide rate for Americans is 21.5 per 100,000.
Conclusion: Being in the military REDUCES the rate of suicide. The Washington Post staff hates our military and jumps at every chance to make our military and our country look bad.

There's little to no respect for our military in any progressive bastion of moonbatism; Obama's shown his disrespect plainly by disrespecting the Pledge of Allegiance. Hildebeest has as well, and I have that from an eye witness who served in the White House as a photographer who travelled with Bush '41 and Clinton his first two years (and was a registered Democrat, no less). Hildebeest's behavior toward the military then was abysmal and disgraceful. The bitch doesn't change her spots, only her rhetoric, and then only for the campaign cycle.
Skunky, we know these things, why doesn't everyone else? Why is it troubling to me that the younger, internet savvy folks would actually listen to Barry Obama?
Those young 'internet savvy' folk might be savvy about the net, but certainly not life. They're the product of our modern reeducation gulags.
