Voter ID - Knocking Down the Strawman

I can honestly say that there are quite a few political topics that I am sick of hearing about. Voter ID is almost at the top of the list.

The advocates of Voter ID say that it will curtail fraud. The morons that do not want Voter ID say that it will keep elderly black folks, that experienced Jim Crow Laws, from voting.

The smart people know that there is voter fraud and want to protect that fundamental right of electing our leaders by making sure that those that are not allowed to vote, do not vote. Simple.

The moron's argument leads us to some pertinent questions. Let's address those from an intellectual position, shall we?

Since every single tidbit of legislation that was passed to restrict Black folks from enjoying equal rights was passed by the Democrat Party, and nearly every single Black person votes for Democrats, why should there be any intimidation? No answer.

Since every single equal rights law has been passed with the Republicans being the backbone of that legislation, why would we think that the people that have consistently done what is right (in regard to equal rights) would all of the sudden STOP doing what is right? No answer.

Also, why do Black folks vote en masse for the very party that has always been adamantly opposed to them receiving equal rights? No answer.

Finally, why do the morons that are against Voter ID think that even though German Shepherds and firehoses couldn't keep those Black folks from voting, that showing an ID would? Do they think that their very base is a bunch of sniveling little crybabies? And again, why do Black folks vote for a party that thinks that those very same Black folks are spineless?

Does anyone have any answers?

Please take the time to comment.

ever watch Zo with machosauce? EVERYONE should. he's a black conservative republican and this is one of his favorite subjects right here.

and i still can't shake that image of that glassy-eyed chick with her daughters ranting about not having to worry about her house payment or buying gas anymore.

that's the mentality that put us in this situation. and a voter id isn't going to change a damn thing. as long as there are morons, there will be fraud.

I watch everything that he puts out. Bean doesn't like him because he talks too long for her to keep paying attention. I have a couple hacked onto this blog sumwhur.

They are talking about this crap on the radio every day this week in my hometown. Like the Democrat controlled state house will evah do anything about it.

I've lived in this Jackson house for 12 years this June. The gentleman who owned the home before us passed away 2 years before we bought the house. No one else lived here during the interim. The dead former owner is still registered to vote in Hinds County at this address.

Over the years we have contacted the Hinds Election Commission and Circuit Clerk's office more than a half-dozen times and yet they still have not removed his name from the voter roll.

Our mail carrier needs chiropractic adjustments after each election because he hauls double of every campaign mail piece to our box.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least to learn that this man has been voting regularly from the grave.

What would be the procedure to remove his name from the rolls? Go to the secretary of state? File a lawsuit? Who knows when you are dealing with the gummint in Jacktown?

And the guy has been dead for 14 years, you'd think that they could clear that little oversight up by now.
