College Gameday - Week 11 - November 13, 2010

If you have been directed here to find where The Four Letter's Vapid Wasteland of College Footbaw FAIL is being held today, they have yet again opted to stay away from sports today and have headed up to Columbus, Ohio to observe tOSU play JoePa. It's like they do not want to go to a single game that matters!!! Next week I bet they head to a PAC-10 game or WORSE! (Not that there's anything worse than a PAC-10 game, other than maybe having to watch Boise State.)

SCOREBOARD MOVED TO NOVEMBER 20, 2010.

We have a full slate of games today, so let's get to it.

At 12:00, we have Kneegrow Bears at Rocky Top for the "Battle of the Bottom." The winner gets to take home twelve pounds of turds in a four pound sack. Klansingtonville is getting two points and the O/U is 55 at the majority of the books, but I actually saw one line at The Klan -2, O/U 56. In other words, this is a pick 'em. Take The Klan and the over.

Vandy at UK. Holy shit, that makes sixty-four home games this year for the Cats. UK is giving 15.5 and the O/U is 55. Does it seem that there is not too much focus on DEFENSE anymore? Burr Bryant has GOT to be rolling over in his grave. Vandy and the over.

The East Dawgs at The Barn. UGA is plus nine and the O/U is 63. I really think that this might be a good game since UGA and Bammer traded teams, but still, let's go with The Barn and the OVER.

The UTEP Miners at Razorhawgs. The 'Hawgs are giving thirty and the O/U is around sixty. I really do not know that much about UTEP, but let's go 'Hawgs and the OVER.

Monroe at Geaux Tigers. Le Smiles has got the Geaux Tigers back in the mix despite all of the fans saying that the Tigers suck. Bizarre. Geaux Tigers are minus thirty-three and the O/U is 46.5. That is funny. Let's pick Le Smiles and the over. I don't look for La-Mon Whorehawks to score much.

'Cocks at Da Gates. I honestly thought that this would be a Pick 'Em, too, but it is late in the year and 'Cocks seem to come out limp as the year wears on. Gates are favored by almost six points and the O/U is 51.5. Let's go Gates and the under.

We Suck at Bammeroids. Bammer -13 and O/U is 46.5. Last week I was thinking that We Suck had a shot at this one, but Le Smiles and his Tigers kinda screwed that up, now I am not so sure. No, Bammer is not as good as they were last year, and yes, We Suck is certainly better, but can The Sabear lose two in a row? Since I am getting thirteen, Imma say We Suck and the OVER. Dammit.

College Gameday!!!

We be CROOMIN'!!!

Please take the time to comment.

I'll be darned if this isn't just one of the least consequential weekends ever for COLLEGE GAMEDAY. And the NFL -- Saints have a bye this week! I may have to actually go outdoors and get some fresh air!

Moogie, for us We Suckers, the Bammer game is kinda big. Or not.

TD, I know I'm late to the party, seeing as we're halfway through UT/Klan. FDILs' Pop & Stepmom (Dr. Jill) are at that game. She e-mailed me yesterday, and told me to be sure to look for them in the crowd. They would be the ones in the orange shirts. Man, The Klan is getting their sheets folded. That kid QB at UT looks like he's got some real "real" in him (even if he is from California).

I'm switching my mind on State v. 'Bama. I'm going with a 7 point win by We Suck...I've just got a feeling...nothing to base it on.

ULM...sigh...LSU will play very poorly, and only win by 10, once again fueling doubts that we're really "there." But, we are. We're as good as we've been since our last championship. This will be one of those deals that provides motivation to go out and crap all over Miss, and prove worthiness to all again' the Hawgz.

Auburn will beat Georgia. I don't care if Newton will be under all kind of pressure, and the team all in doubt and junk. The Tigers know that they are the best team in the land, and they all probably got paid to be there, too, and it takes the NCAA about 7 years to come to any decision on anything...so...may as well go ahead on and beat the crap out of the opponent so you get a better signing bonus in the NFL.

I gots no idear on the Flarda/SC game. There are four different teams involved there, and depending on which two of the four show up it could be a blow-out either way. And honestly, I don't care about that game, because I just don't.

Hey man...is the graph paper background new, or did I just not notice it until now? I like it.

Paul Mitchell said...

Andy, I fully expect SMQ to compare notes.

And yes, the graph paper background is new, about two weeks old.

Andy said...

Crap! Two weeks old? Well, I'm using Pam's comprutuh back here in the bedroom, not mine up in the office. It's probably the monitor resolution or something that lets me see it.

SMQ probably ain't gonna happen. Again. I gotta clock in at 6 am tomorrow, and besides, SMQ sucks.

I started to put up my picks today, but got distracted by junk like kids and junk.

I had actually called a win by Northwestern, and they did. A smear by the Vols, and I'm calling SDSU over them Christian Texans as the only really big upset of the day.

I didn't get it done, so I'm calling them here in your comments. I can prove that I know my junk, since I've wrote it down here.

Auburn is gonna kill GA. Oregon will get slowed down by Cal, but still win, and Ohio State will hold on to beat JoePa 13 - 10.

I'll go with Cam lighting the Barn and the rest of the $EC on fire....literally, on his way to the NFL in April.

Way to go Auburn, nice to see you maintain your integrity.

Roderick, since when did Auburn have any integrity?

Auburn is well known for being almost as crooked as USC. Did somebody have to give back a Heisman recently? Ummmm...can't remember...

The Newton story will not change a few things. One of those things is that it will not change the fact that he is a mammoth athlete, who could well go pro in April.

I have not spoken on the Cam deal because he's a kid...a big, unbelievably talented kid...but a kid nonetheless. And, he has a Daddy in the mix here. This is a complicated deal, and there are really no hard facts out in the public.

We have all seen talented children (and, Cam is a child if you consider the big picture of life) that are exploited by their parents. I always feel bad for such children, and pray/hope that they will somehow be able to break the financial hope tie that binds them (ever so gently), take charge of their own affairs, and still maintain the family thread.

Truth is, throwing barbs at Cam right now is pretty small. Don't get me wrong. I hate Auburn. But, to rag on Newton is just pretty mean.

TD, I gotta pack it in for the night, but just wanted to check in to mention how wrawng I'm is.

The Christian Texans managed to squeak out a win against SDSU. But, The Dame's drubbing of The Utes, and their pitiful schedule is likely to play hell with the comprutuh.

LSU is cruising, while I thought we'd likely stumble. I wouldn't be surprised to wake up #4 if I was Le Smiles.

Auburn did not kill the Dawgs, but considering all things...they're still the best team in the nation, even though their defense sucks, which I still think is gonna jump up and bite 'em in the butt.

Oregon is behind...but I might be right, and they will end up beating Cal...if not, Le Smiles might wake up #2.

And, the bestest thing of the whole day is that the Klan got embarrassed by Dooley.

Oh yeah, I plan to fall asleep watching State/'Bama. I'm still calling a State win, even though it don't look so good.

Heck, I've been wrong all day, so why screw up my streak, huh?

Paul Mitchell said...

Andy, I split both of the first two games. So, it is not looking like total fail for me. But, dang, Rocky Top ROLLED the Klan.

Paul Mitchell said...

And We Suck is not actually stinking it up. One Deion Sanders tackling mishap and Bammer is up ten.

I'm watching Da Gates, too. Yawn.

Andy,

My issue with Cam is not his father, it is him a person...

What about his cheating at Florida, multiple times? (he didn't deny it)
Numerous driving violations while he attended Florida?

I attack those with little to no character...as a top athlete at a university he had tutors galore at his disposal. The days of Dexter Manley are gone.

There is no sympathy for those that have alot going (he is not from a deprived background in any way) for them and a university support system like personal tutors....cheating multiple times and numerous driving violations...what would happen to you or me if we racked up so many driving violations in a short period of time???

He will be rich, no doubt but one thing he won't have is character and in the end it is going to catch up with him. By the way this is partly why I don't watch pro ball anymore (atleast in college the players are compelled to show personal discipline by taking classes), the veneer of amateurism is all that college has left.

Boy, I barely broke even today. At least I have the fall back that I got almost all of the O/Us right. Geez, Flarda and We Suck ruined my damned day.

Posting after the fact, I seez a mixed bag: Iowa lost a close one, Colorado rebounded from the humiliation abyss for a decent win (this week, anyway), and we can apparently not look for any changes at the top of the BsCS. Despite the EsPn quartet, footbawl is footbawl ;-)

Paul Mitchell said...

If Oregon does not fall ten slots for their NARROW victory over the 97th ranked Cal, there is a problem.

Andy said...

Didn't happen. In fact, if it wasn't for the computer, we'd be #6, with our only loss to Auburn.

Sucks.
